What is AfricaWire?

AfricaWire is a market-mapped media-tech newswire built for African campaigns. It combines editorial preparation, multilingual publishing, regional distribution and source-linked reporting in one managed campaign.

Which markets can I target?

Request one country, a regional route or a broader Pan-African campaign. AfricaWire confirms live availability for the selected date, language and release type before dispatch.

Which languages are active?

The current Pan-African inventory includes Arabic, English, French and Swahili website entries. North African routes use the relevant Arabic-, French- and English-facing inventory. Other requirements are scoped separately.

What is a media endpoint?

A media endpoint is a publishable website destination listed in the current inventory. It is not necessarily a unique media company, newsroom, journalist or audience.

Is every placement guaranteed?

No. Publication depends on the confirmed order, release content, language, date, technical availability and publisher policy. Only commitments stated in the written order apply.

Is distribution earned media?

No. Distribution routes an issuer-supplied announcement through selected channels. Earned media is independently commissioned or reported editorial content.

What must I submit?

Send editable release copy, issuer and media-contact details, target markets, required languages, preferred timing, an approved link and any rights-cleared media.

How do translation approvals work?

AfricaWire prepares the agreed versions and the authorized customer contact approves material translated or localized copy before dispatch, unless another written workflow applies.

When does timing begin?

Any dispatch or reporting period begins from the event defined in the accepted order, normally after content, scope, approvals and payment conditions are complete.

What does SpyderAPI show?

An eligible Distribution ID opens the latest identified publication links with the market, language, status and export information currently available. It is not a guarantee of every online mention.

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing follows the confirmed markets, languages, translation method, editorial work, timing, assets, reporting and partner requirements. The complete quote is stated before dispatch.
